In January 1947, a young, beautiful actress was found brutally murdered in California. Her body was dismembered, drained of her blood and a grin was carved into her face. She was nicknamed in the press as The Black Dahlia, but Elizabeth Short was a real person and her murder was never solved. Join Evan and guest, local actor Tiffany Stewart, as they go through the details of the case, Elizabeth Shorts life leading up to the tragedy and, obviously, the suspects.

See the website Tiff got alot of her info from here

The EPIC conclusion to our two part Time Travel/ Wormhole episodes!! This time we barely talk about wormholes, but it's in there.... we do even squeeze some more science in, but mostly Evan talks pop culture and teaches Emily about some of his favorite time travel movies and learns that Emily knows more pop culture than we thought!! So come back geeks!!

Also, Even though it is not mentioned in the episode, good friend and fellow podcaster Trevor Furlong, from network show Teddy and the Bassman, needs some help. Donate to a fundraiser to cover medical expenses here

And finally, see the wormhole guy article here

In this episode, we stuff it so full we have to drag it out to two episodes! It begins where it ends..... then we have to go back to the beginning...and talk Wormholes and Time Travel!! Emily digs deep into the theoretical science of wormholes while Evan teaches Emily some more pop culture. We then move onto time travel and have..well basically the same thing happen, it's just that this time, Evan brings a little more science and ALOT more Star Trek! In the spirit of this auspicious day, we rank the good Star Wars movies, shout out our favorite Expanded Universe entries, compliment George Lucas, explain why Jar Jar might just be better than Chewie, and Evan passes a Star Wars QUIZ!

...Wait, what was that fourth one?

To find out, watch Hard Truths with Doug and see if you don't view everyone's least favorite Gungan in a slightly different light.

And if you want to see these quizzes for yourself, find them here:

Tomorrow, as we all know, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens hits general release. We were remiss in raging about the second two prequels, so we get that out of the way because we are people of our word.

Then Trivia! How much does Evan remember about the minutiae of the Star Wars movies? Carissa quizzes him to find out. Play along at home, test your own memory, and see if you get to feel smug about how much Star Wars trivia you know. With many huge thanks to the Geeks Who Drink for their inspiration from the Let The Wookie Win national pub quiz last Saturday.

Send us your quiz scores so everyone can be suitably impressed, or so others can maybe not feel so bad. :P

For our 20th episode, we invite a special guest to help us hash out an age old question: If Star Wars and Star Trek met in an epic battle, who would win? The answer may surprise you. The answer may enrage you. No matter how it turns out, we think this is one of the better conversations on an oft-debated nerd standard.  Let us know what YOU think!
