In the spirit of this auspicious day, we rank the good Star Wars movies, shout out our favorite Expanded Universe entries, compliment George Lucas, explain why Jar Jar might just be better than Chewie, and Evan passes a Star Wars QUIZ!

...Wait, what was that fourth one?

To find out, watch Hard Truths with Doug and see if you don't view everyone's least favorite Gungan in a slightly different light.

And if you want to see these quizzes for yourself, find them here:

In our final Very Special Episode, we join Teddy and the Bassman once again for a grand two-parter. This time, we play a couple more standard games. In our episode, hear us try to outwit the great sayings of the ages in Wise and Otherwise, then listen to T&tB's half where we play everyone's favorite awful game: Cards Against Humanity.

When there are tigers on the hill...

Recorded live from the Steampunk Library, we proudly present Part Two of our collaboration with fellow Bearded Pods cast Teddy and the Bassman. Evan and Carissa play some fun games and wax philosophical with the whimsical pair, celebrating the chance to record together in one physical location.

To hear the other half of the evening's festivities (namely: the Room 101 Game), you will want to listen to Teddy and the Bassman's latest episode, found here.

This week Evan and Carissa solve gender relations!

OK, not really, but we do discuss some of the more prevalent issues between the genders within the overarching geeky communities - most specifically in gaming culture.  While we won't be winning any Peace Prizes for our contribution here, we take a moderate, common sense, humanitarian look at some of the misapprehensions, misunderstandings, and misogyny that plague games and geek ventures in general.  Sparked by a particularly egregious incident at the Dota 2 Shanghai Major tournament, Carissa explains both of the friendzones (and how to get out of them) before tackling a more serious problem.

Remember, you don't need to be a White Knight to be a decent human being. Warning: some offensive language presented.

00:0000:00

We don't do it often, but to kick off the new year we wanted to just kind of talk to each other about 'stuff'.  Carissa announces her resolution and waxes poetic about the touching effect of Bob Ross on Twitch chatters, while Evan reflects on Red Dead Redemption and the things we love despite all contrary public opinion.  Hollywood gets a nice reaming for its neoconservative values and alien view of the real world.  Just for the hell of it, we talk limericks and anti-limericks, and would like to invite our beloved listeners to send us their favorite dirty limericks.

2015 is coming to a close and so, as we approach the beginning of the year when those born at the turn of the millennium will be driving cars, Evan and Carissa take a look back - as many others are doing - at the halfway point of the Twenty-Teens.

The best (and a couple of the worst) in science, tech, medicine, movies, tv, and games of the year all get a nod.  Then we take a look forward to hope for the best to come in the approaching year.  We know everyone is doing a year-in-review, but naturally we think ours is the best.

Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve celebration, everyone, and we'll catch you in a week!

This week Evan and Carissa reminisce about the technology which shaped our generation. The 8088 and the Apple ][e, BASICA games and TI graphing calculators, the Hayes SmartModem and AOL, BBSes and MUDs, Betamax and VHS, and so much more. Progress marches on, moving ever faster and with increasing promise, so we pause to relish in the view from the top, standing on the shoulders of the giants which brought us into the future.

00:0000:00

This week we take on the worst of us: the trolls, haters, and insufferable fanboys who make life both on and off the internet more taxing and troublesome than it needs to be.  We basically cover everyone from racist YouTube commenters to hardcore MMO raiders, forum trolls to PC/Console MasterRace believers, and pseudo-anonymous assholes to socially awkward sexists.

It's a little less RAGE-y than our previous few, but probably more important, as this one actually has a lesson to wrap it all up.

Congratulations again to wikishuffle for their win at the UK Podcasters Awards!

It may be a tad late in the game for a disclaimer, so this episode is more like a confession.  Evan and Carissa go through the top five things which lose each of them 'nerd cred'.  From the not-so-bad to the hate-inducing, we run the gamut of why some well-meaning but wrong-headed folk might dare say we aren't geeks/nerds.

For anyone who's ever been excluded, mocked, or flamed for the stuff they DIDN'T see, hear, like, do, or understand, this one's for you.

All hate (or agreement) can be directed to us through LuckyTenThousand [at] gmail [dot] com, or on Twitter: @Lucky_10k.

Episode 6: E3

Recorded at the close of this year's E3, Carissa excites Evan with a report on the most remarkable gaming announcements from the event.  Yeah, it's a little later than most recaps, but it's never to late to get on the hype train!

We also wax poetic about superheroes.
